The Lost Strength

I was lost
in search of you
somehow made
my way through.
With lots of
strength and grit,
collecting myself
bit by bit.
Now I’ve started
to crawl
and soon I’ll
cross the wall.
Growing stronger
day by day,
I will make
my own way.

As the time
passes by,
I’m learning
again to fly;
without your help
and acceptance
marking my
utmost presence.
The will to
grow and succeed
and to fulfill
my deeds
I’m prepared
to fight again.
The lost strength
is regained.

Choices

Choice….such a small word but it has a huge impact on our lives.

There is a beautiful line in the novel “If I Stay” by Gayle Forman describing the artistry of choices. It goes as “Sometimes you make choices in life and sometimes choices make you.”  It simply shows the power contained in such a small word.

Choices define us, made us who we are today and will definitely determine who we become tomorrow.  Our choices are highly influenced by the surroundings and the options available to us. We hardly notice the change taking place in ourselves with every decision taken.

One very important aspect of making a choice is the consequence associated with it.  It takes a few moments to make a decision over the most critical issues, but the consequences have a long-lasting effect. It’s not the choices that we are afraid of; it’s the after effect that scares us. It is essential that we should boldly face the consequences once we have made a decision rather than sulking about it.

So tighten up your seat belts, stay motivated and be prepared for anything and everything that is coming your way. You are going to rock the world.

Struggle

She was struggling all alone,

none could hear the silent groan.

Bruises, too deep….

scathed by some creep.

A solitary tear

trickled down the cheek,

as the onlookers

gave her a grotty peek.

Dejected and deprived of

love and care,

the situation was squicky

and full of despair.

Not a single noble soul

dared to make it right,

most turned their faces

after seeing her plight.

Waiting for a miracle

she looked up the sky,

hoping our Father in Heaven

will listen to her sigh.

With no desires left

where humanity stood bereft,

she decided to leave

with none to grieve.

Think Smart Work Smart

Once a baby girl went to a shop with her mother. The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed her a bottle with sweets and said, “Dear Child, you can take the sweets”. But the child didn’t take. The shopkeeper was surprised; such a small child she is and why is she not taking the sweets from the bottle.

Again he said take the sweets. Now the mother also heard that and said, “Take the sweets dear”. Yet she didn’t take it. The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking the sweets, he himself took the sweets and gave to the child. The child was happy to get two hands full of sweets.

While returning home the mother asked the child — Why didn’t you take the sweets, when the shop keeper told you to take? Can you guess the response: . . . Child replies Mom! My hands are very small and if I take the sweets I can only take few, but now you see when uncle gave with his big hands, how many more sweets I got!

When we take we may get little but when Our Father in Heaven gives, He gives us more beyond our expectations more than what we can think of because His blessings are more better than we can even imagine. Always ask God what you want and wait for the Lord to give you more!!

Ask what you want;

But be willing to take what is given to you;

Because

This may be better than what you asked for.

An Undestined Traveler

A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving. — Lao Tzu

Traveling is an integral part of each and every individual. We start the journey at the time of our birth and it continues until we “rest”. We generally don’t follow any fixed path in our early days. We break rules and construct our own way. Challenges are accepted without any fear of defeat. As we grow older, we are stuck to a specific path and are even afraid to wander around. Life becomes monotonous and challenges are overlooked or neglected. We cover ourselves in the skin of others just to please people around us. Fear starts to creep in.

Exploration is a necessity whether it is about exploring new ideas/opportunities or exploring new places. A stringent mindset leaves us nowhere. Show enough courage to travel the unknown territories. You never know what lies ahead. A quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson sums it up beautifully—

“Do not follow where the path may lead . Go instead where there is no path and leave the trail.”

My Dear Angel

A sweet little angel knocked my door,

I got thrilled to my heart’s core.

I ran towards her with arms too wide,

A glimpse of her and I almost died.

Eyes glittering in the moon light,

My stars, definitely getting bright.

Her bewitching smile seized my breath,

I lost my ground and fell on my head.

She conquered me and ruled my heart,

made me sin and tore me apart.

Tears are hidden behind the smiling face,

Lost my way catching up her pace.

I look for thee in every face I see,

You will stay forever in me.

An Unbroken Bond

An unbroken bond

I still feel your presence

hovering around me,

It makes me frail,

and full of glee.

Drenched in your fragrance,

Lost in your eyes,

In your presence

time flies.

Our encounter was

decided by fate,

Neither do I love

nor do I hate.

Your thoughts still

crowd my life,

making me ponder-

Do I ever cross your mind?

Did I ever mean anything to you?

Or is it too late?

but I will still wait…!!
