An Untitled Poem

Another dedication to one of my friend. I was very confused about the title for this piece so I named it as “An Untitled Poem”. If you have any suggestion or idea regarding the same, do mention in the comment section.

—-An Untitled Poem—-

Why did we ever meet?
When we didn’t find time to greet.
Now time has come to bid adieu
and what a magnificent moment to do.

It’s your birthday
and all friends are here
to remind, how special you are
by showering love and care.

A moment to cherish
and a memory for lifetime
relish the aroma of friendship
when we are in our prime.

Attain the pinnacle of life
our wishes are with you.
You are gonna rock the world
just keep walking through.

Hope we meet someday again
where our milieu are same
savour the day till then
and keep alive your burning flame.

The Lost Strength

I was lost
in search of you
somehow made
my way through.
With lots of
strength and grit,
collecting myself
bit by bit.
Now I’ve started
to crawl
and soon I’ll
cross the wall.
Growing stronger
day by day,
I will make
my own way.

As the time
passes by,
I’m learning
again to fly;
without your help
and acceptance
marking my
utmost presence.
The will to
grow and succeed
and to fulfill
my deeds
I’m prepared
to fight again.
The lost strength
is regained.

Choices

Choice….such a small word but it has a huge impact on our lives.

There is a beautiful line in the novel “If I Stay” by Gayle Forman describing the artistry of choices. It goes as “Sometimes you make choices in life and sometimes choices make you.”  It simply shows the power contained in such a small word.

Choices define us, made us who we are today and will definitely determine who we become tomorrow.  Our choices are highly influenced by the surroundings and the options available to us. We hardly notice the change taking place in ourselves with every decision taken.

One very important aspect of making a choice is the consequence associated with it.  It takes a few moments to make a decision over the most critical issues, but the consequences have a long-lasting effect. It’s not the choices that we are afraid of; it’s the after effect that scares us. It is essential that we should boldly face the consequences once we have made a decision rather than sulking about it.

So tighten up your seat belts, stay motivated and be prepared for anything and everything that is coming your way. You are going to rock the world.

Missing “You”

Missing someone can really be heart wrenching. I was enduring this feeling one day. Hence I came up with this piece. Hope you all will like it.

—Missing You—

You touched my soul
Like no one before
Left me alone and
shook me, to the core.

An affair full of wrench,
In a sea of tears, I did drench.
You left me with no choice,
Lost in love, without a voice.

Seldom did I forget,
how you made me smile,
A glimpse of you and
my heart, raced a mile.

Reminiscing the time spent together
and the love, as soft as a feather.
Those late night talks,
without fretting about the clocks,
random walks on the moonlit roads
were one of my favorite episodes.

I miss the vibe we shared
those moments will never return, I’m scared.
Missing you is now a routine,
Life has become a blank screen.
With a smile on my lips, I pray
for your welfare, wherever you stay.

The Untamed

This poem is a dedication to one of my friend who is quite close to my heart. Today is his birthday, so I decided to write few lines describing his personality. Hope it makes sense…

—The Untamed—

I met a boy in his teen,
craziness dwells in his gene.
Full of passion and zeal,
with the strength of steel.

He was born to fly,
to smell the taste
and feel the sky.
Controlled by,
the lust of mountains
which he can’t defy.

Wild and untamed
adventure is just his game.
Crazy were his deeds
challenges are  his only needs.

Subtle and calm by essence
soothing is his presence.
He is all ears to you
such a kind, is very few.
Treasure him in your heart,
even if destiny tear us apart.

Struggle

She was struggling all alone,

none could hear the silent groan.

Bruises, too deep….

scathed by some creep.

A solitary tear

trickled down the cheek,

as the onlookers

gave her a grotty peek.

Dejected and deprived of

love and care,

the situation was squicky

and full of despair.

Not a single noble soul

dared to make it right,

most turned their faces

after seeing her plight.

Waiting for a miracle

she looked up the sky,

hoping our Father in Heaven

will listen to her sigh.

With no desires left

where humanity stood bereft,

she decided to leave

with none to grieve.

Think Smart Work Smart

Once a baby girl went to a shop with her mother. The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed her a bottle with sweets and said, “Dear Child, you can take the sweets”. But the child didn’t take. The shopkeeper was surprised; such a small child she is and why is she not taking the sweets from the bottle.

Again he said take the sweets. Now the mother also heard that and said, “Take the sweets dear”. Yet she didn’t take it. The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking the sweets, he himself took the sweets and gave to the child. The child was happy to get two hands full of sweets.

While returning home the mother asked the child — Why didn’t you take the sweets, when the shop keeper told you to take? Can you guess the response: . . . Child replies Mom! My hands are very small and if I take the sweets I can only take few, but now you see when uncle gave with his big hands, how many more sweets I got!

When we take we may get little but when Our Father in Heaven gives, He gives us more beyond our expectations more than what we can think of because His blessings are more better than we can even imagine. Always ask God what you want and wait for the Lord to give you more!!

Ask what you want;

But be willing to take what is given to you;

Because

This may be better than what you asked for.
